Warchal Amber Violin Strings feature a truly innovative approach to E string design and present a warm and rich tone across the whole range. The E string features a coiled length that, once stretched straight, offers more longitudinal elasticity. This addesses the two major issues of metal E strings: whistling and harsh sounds. Many reviews across the internet report that this string really works! The set is available with a number of options for the E string; a choice of loop or ball ends; a choice of 2 tensions – medium or forte (high); and finally there is a choice regarding if you are fitting the E string to an instrument with integrated tuners. This last option is because Warchal specify a certain measurement from the bridge to where the string is fixed at the tailpiece. So there are 2 options: a version that allows for a standard single fine tuner, and a version that can be fitted to an integrated tuner tailpiece or where no fine tuners are fitted at all.

Please note that the Forte version of the E string comes as a much more relaxed coil, more like a wavy line.
